This website is operated by The Apartment. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Apartment. The Apartment offers this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.


By accepting our terms and conditions, a written and binding agreement is established upon confirmation of order between the customer and The Apartment. Once an order is completed, the customer will receive an email confirmation of the purchase. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability, and items in the shopping cart are not reserved before completion and may be purchased by other customers. In case of errors, product quality issues, or omissions in the order, The Apartment reserves the right to cancel the order.

Prices & Payment

TheApartment.dk accepts payment methods including VISA, Mastercard, PayPal, and MobilePay. All information is securely transmitted to TheApartment.dk using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. This prevents unauthorized parties from accessing customer information. TheApartment.dk does not store your credit card information after the transaction is complete.

Your card will be debited when your order has been confirmed and processed. Prices are listed excluding shipping. TheApartment.dk reserves the right to change prices at any time. Prices on TheApartment.dk are shown in Danish Kroner (DKK), US Dollars (USD), and Euros (EUR). Prices on TheApartment.dk are all consumer prices. Some regions (e.g., USA) may not show prices including VAT. Please refer to the checkout page for the total price including VAT and taxes.

Local Taxes & Duties

Please note that local import duties vary by country and region. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your county’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up. Please do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.

For international orders outside of Europe, a customs duty will be charged to you depending upon the country in which you reside. The carrier will contact you in case of any extra charges or costume clearance. This might delay the delivery.

The Apartment is not responsible for payment of this duty, all charges or customs clearance adhere to international import/export laws. If you decide to refuse the shipment, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any duties, taxes and/or customs charges that are incurred (on both the original and return shipments), as well as the cost of returning the package. This amount will be subtracted from you merchandise refund.

If your order is placed within Europe the Danish sales taxes and VAT are included in the price. Additional duties will not be added upon arrival in the country of destination. This is according to customs policies regarding sales within the EU. If, however, your order is placed outside the EU, you will not have to pay the Danish sales Taxes and VAT, but you will have to pay additional tax and duties in the country of destination. The Apartment is not responsible for these or for any other fees charged by customs.

Please be aware, if you choose to refuse the shipment due to local import duty and tax, the parcel will automatically be returned to The Apartment. In this case, we reserve the right to charge a 30 euro administration fee.

Local customs authorities may hold your package for review, which may cause delays. The Apartment is not responsible for any delays or charges incurred due to local customs procedures.

Warranty & Claims

For any warranty claims, please contact us at info@theapartment.dk and provide details about the defect, including your order details and pictures of the faulty item. We advise you to report this to The Apartment no later than 72 hours after delivery. You can file a complaint up to two months after discovering a defect.

If you disagree with The Apartment's handling of your cancellation right and cannot reach an amicable solution with The Apartment, you may file a complaint with the Centre for Complaints Solution if the conditions are met (see www.forbrug.dk).


You may return the purchase up to 14 days after receiving the item(s). If you ordered multiple items in the same purchase and they are delivered separately, the period runs from the day you received the last item. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the parcel has been received. The product(s) must be returned unused and securely wrapped. The cost of return shipping will be covered by you. The item must be shipped without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you have received the purchase.

The item must be returned as received and unused. Returns of used or damaged items will not be accepted and will be sent back to the customer at the customer’s expense. The customer must ensure that the item is properly wrapped before returning it. The customer bears the risk of the package and its contents until The Apartment receives the parcel. Therefore, for parcel shipments, the customer must keep a receipt proving that the parcel has been sent or delivered.

Once the return has been accepted, all successfully returned items will be credited to the credit card used to originally purchase the item(s). The original shipping charges will not be refunded. You will receive an email notification once the refund has been initiated. Please note that it can take up to 10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Direct exchanges are not possible. If you would like to exchange an item, please return it for a refund and place a new order for the desired item. The purchase price for the returned item will be refunded using the same payment method used for the original order.

Colours, Shapes & Wear

We have made every effort to display the colors and shapes of our products as accurately as possible. However, variations in color and screen resolutions of computers may occur. Color deviations are therefore not considered a defect within the meaning of the Sale of Goods Act.

Our selection of pieces consists of vintage and antique items. Please be aware that these items may show visible signs of previous use, minor cosmetic wear, fading, and patina. We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the service will be corrected.


We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete, or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete, or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk. This site may contain historical information, which is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time but have no obligation to update any information on our site.
