Peter Schlesinger was born in Los Angeles in 1948 and studied at UCLA before moving to London in 1968 to attend the Slade School of Art.

His photographs and sculptures have been exhibited at institutions and galleries including MoMA PS1 in New York, Tate Liverpool, Hayward Gallery in London, and Sperone Westwater in New York.
