John Kasmin was born in London in 1934. In 1963, he founded Kasmin Gallery in New Bond Street, where he exhibited many of the leading artists of postwar art. Alongside his work as a dealer and collector, Kasmin developed a photographic practice. In 2024, Lyndsey Ingram Gallery in London presented Kasmin’s Camera, an exhibition dedicated to his photographic archive.
